Dung môi công nghiệp. Dung môi là một chất hóa học dùng để hòa tan một chất tan rắn, lỏng, hoặc khí khác, tạo thành một thể đồng nhất. Với mỗi chất khác nhau có thể hòa tan trong một thể tích dung môi nhất định ở một nhiệt độ quy định. Dung môi được ứng dụng khá phổ biến trong công nghiệp như Dung môi hữu cơ được sử dụng chủ yếu trong công tác làm sạch khô, chất pha loãng sơn, chất tẩy sơn đánh bóng móng tay và các dung môi tẩy keo, … Việc sử dụng các dung môi vô cơ (trừ nước) thường được giới hạn trong nghiên cứu hóa học và một số quy trình công nghệ.

Dung môi công nghiệp là gì? Dung môi công nghiệp có rất nhiều ứng dụng trong đời sống và trong ngành kinh tế. Các loại dung môi phổ biến như Acteone, Alkyd, Methanol, Methylene,… được sử dụng nhằm làm tăng hiệu quả cũng như chất lượng sản phẩm được sản xuất. Dung môi được dùng nhiều trong ngành công nghiệp như: dung môi pha sơn, dung môi mưc in, cao su, nhựa…Dung môi là chất lỏng hoặc khí có thể hoà tan hoặc chiết xuất các chất khác. Với mỗi chất khác nhau có thể hòa tan trong một thể tích dung môi nhất định ở một nhiệt độ quy định.

What is a Solvent?
A solvent is substance (molecule) with the ability to dissolve other substances (solutes) to form a solution. Solvents are usually a liquid but can also be in solid or gas form. The term solute means the substance that is dissolved into a larger substance (the solvent). The attractive forces in both the solute and the solvent are about the same as the attractive forces formed in solution.
Types of Solvents Solvents are generally classified as polar or nonpolar.
Polar Solvents Polar solvents atoms have positive and negative charges that attract to the positive and negative charges of the substance they are interacting with. The polar solvent then dissolves the solute by the electrical charges pulling on different parts of the solute molecules, thereby dissolving it.
Water is a polar solvent example. Water is an extraordinarily strong dipole molecule because of its negative and positive charges. This makes it easier for water to dissolve a large variety of substances by essentially pulling on different parts of the solute's molecules. Water can dissolve substances like salt by pulling on the oppositely charged molecules. The negative side of solvent molecules pull on the positive ions in salt. The positive side of other solvent molecules pull on the negative ions in the salt. In this way the ions become evenly distributed throughout the solvent.
Nonpolar Solvent Nonpolar solvents have electrons equally distributed all along the molecule and do not concentrate them at the end of the molecule like polar solvents do. They attract the same types of large nonpolar solute molecules. This mechanism allows all nonpolar solute dissolve in nonpolar solvents.
An example of a nonpolar solvent is benzene. Benzene is mainly used as an intermediate to make other chemicals. Mainly used as an industrial solvent, benzene is used to dissolve or extract a particular chemical. These chemicals are then used in the manufacturing of chemicals and plastics products, which are then used to produce nylon, Styrofoam, detergents, dyes, explosives, and pesticides.
Solvent Examples Water is known as a universal solvent due to its ability to dissolve more solvents than any other liquids. A solution in which the water is a solvent is called an aqueous solution. NaCl in water is an example of an aqueous solution.
